Our mission is to discover and represent fashion and accessory products of boutique designers from around the world.  We are committed to making online shopping an easy, enjoyable and satisfying experience for those who have a preference for quality and an eye for beauty.

We believe that great design isn’t just about superior craftsmanship and construction, it’s also about how it satisfies a need in one’s life. Wherever we travel, we take pride in discovering unique designers in the hope that you may discover them for yourselves.  We look for designers who use high quality fabrics, the finest leather goods, the softest cashmeres and silks, so that when you look good, you feel good, too.  For those who love to travel, we also look for classic fashions with clean lines in fabrics that unpack flawlessly from a suitcase and are ready to wear.

The Elegant You is an online retail platform for those who value quality fashion designs. We have found a number of marvelous designers in our travels in the U.S. and abroad and are eager to present them here.

For years we have been in touch with fine craftsmen and artists whose expertise spans multiple generations – fashion houses smaller than Gucci or Chanel that are known in Europe but are not yet well known in America.  Our newly found boutique designers offer the same fine materials and superb craftsmanship as well-known brands and at affordable price. 

The Elegant You is our first venture into online retail, but not the first in our online enterprises. Our company began as a U.S. manufacturer representative for a list of companies.  We sold their products wholesale to boutiques and retail chains. As the Internet speed grew, we decided to partner with a number of designers and use the newly invented drop-shipping method of delivering goods to customers.

Our collections ship directly from the designers’ shops.  We do not use “drop-shipping fulfillment centers” or big intermediary distributors whose inventory may include fakes and knock-offs.  (See our Product Authenticity page.)

We represent brands that we are in harmony with and designers we interact with on a personal and business level.  We vouch for their fidelity to the highest standards in fashion design. We invite you to read testimonials from purchasers on our designers’ pages and judge for yourself.  Along with our commitment to Elegance & Style, No Brand Tax is our un-spoken guarantee. How do we choose them? The answer is simple: we feature designers whose work captivated us at first glance. Some designers are not yet known in America and some are already well known, but that is not at the core of our decisions. We just happen to like what they show in their collections and the quality of the product. We do not ask for preferential treatment or deep discount on prices. We feature our favorite designers and because we appreciate their talent and their craftmanship, we show prices for their products at a level they are comfortable with. We believe the prices on our site offer better value than comparable products found elsewhere.  We are promoting elegance and style and our featured designers have plenty to offer.
