Since I grew up, I used to see different handmade ancient techniques that have been handed down by my ancestors, who later on decided to emigrate to America. My world was surrounded by stunning handmade ornaments, jewels, clothes, embroidered sheet, usually created by my relative women, during winter time around the fireplace, while telling the traditional Sicilian fairy tales to the family young kids.My mother also contributed to build my passion for fashion design, being a tailor herself and involving me in designing and selecting style, fine fabrics, buttons, laces, trimming, for several handmade clothes they crafted together during her teenager years.
